What We’re Looking For:
- Current Sign Language Interpreter license (state-specific requirements may apply)
- ASLPI proficiency score of 4.1 or higher
- Demonstrated experience working 1:1 with pediatric clients, preferably in a school or similar setting
- Ability to collaborate closely with teachers, educational staff, and families to deliver consistent, high-quality support
- Strong communication skills, reliability, and a compassionate, student-focused approach
- Willingness to work onsite for the entirety of the assignment
Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities Will Include:
- Providing direct 1:1 American Sign Language interpreting services for a pediatric student within the school environment
- Supporting access to classroom instruction, extracurricular activities, and social integration
- Assisting educators and staff in understanding and accommodating student communication needs
- Maintaining accurate records in compliance with school policies and legal guidelines
- Upholding professionalism, confidentiality, and ethical interpreting standards
