Role Responsibilities:
- Provide real-time, accurate interpretation between spoken English and ASL for an elementary student throughout the school day
- Facilitate effective communication between the student, teachers, peers, and staff
- Support the student’s participation in classroom activities, lessons, and school events
- Collaborate with teachers and school support staff to ensure accommodations are effectively implemented
- Foster an inclusive and accessible learning environment
- Adapt interpreting techniques to meet the student’s individual needs
