- Proven proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)

- Ability to facilitate clear communication between students, teachers, and peers
- Professionalism, reliability, and excellent interpersonal skills
- Comfortable working 1:1 with students in a classroom environment
Key responsibilities:
- Provide direct sign language interpretation services for an elementary-aged student during classroom activities, assemblies, and school functions
- Adapt interpretation style to support the student’s comprehension and participation
- Collaborate with teachers and support staff to foster an inclusive learning environment
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards of interpreting
- Track and report student progress in communication and engagement
- Attend required meetings and in-service trainings related to student goals or IEP plans
