Qualifications:
- Active, current license as a Sign Language Interpreter
- Experience in educational or school settings preferred
- Skills in both sign language interpretation and language facilitation
- Ability to collaborate with teachers and students effectively
- Strong organizational and communication skills
Responsibilities:
- Interpret classroom instruction and student interactions
- Facilitate communication for a 9th-grade student across academic and extracurricular settings
- Support teachers in using assistive listening devices (ALDs) and communication strategies
- Adapt to varying classroom dynamics and instructional styles
- Document student progress and communicate observations to the school team
