Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Active, current licensure as a Sign Language Interpreter
- Prior school-based interpreting experience preferred
- Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
- Ability to facilitate communication for students with cochlear implants or using assistive listening devices
Responsibilities:
- Interpret classroom instruction and school events for a high school student
- Collaborate with educators to ensure inclusive, accessible learning
- Support the student’s participation in extracurricular activities, such as school plays
- Monitor, document, and communicate student progress
