Sunbelt Staffing is seeking a qualified Sign Language Interpreter to provide communication support to students in a school-based setting in Lebanon, Oregon. This is an excellent opportunity for an interpreter who is passionate about supporting students and collaborating with teachers, staff, and families.
Responsibilities
- Provide accurate and effective sign language interpretation for students throughout the school day
- Facilitate communication between students, teachers, staff, and peers
- Interpret classroom instruction, meetings, activities, and school events as needed
- Support students' access to academic and social opportunities
- Maintain confidentiality and professional standards
- Collaborate with the educational team to support student success
- Follow all school and district policies and procedures
Qualifications
- Appropriate Sign Language Interpreter certification/credential for Oregon
- Previous school-based or pediatric interpreting experience preferred
- Strong ASL and English communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with students and educational teams
- Must meet all applicable state and district requirements
