Key Qualifications:
- Certification by the National Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf, or a score of 4.0 or higher on the EIPA, ESSE-I/R, or NAD/ACCI assessment
- Candidates with an EIPA under 4.0 will be considered for the ASL Para role
- Proficiency in both sign-to-voice and voice-to-sign interpreting
- Experience supporting students in academic, vocational, and daily living skills preferred
- Ability to effectively collaborate with students, teachers, and school personnel
- Comfortable working onsite, full-time (approximately 30 hours per week)
- Strong preference for experience at the middle or high school level (indicate preference when applying)
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret in real-time between students and staff, ensuring clarity and inclusion
- Support instruction by assisting students in reading, writing, math, and other academic subjects
- Help students develop vocational and life skills as part of their overall education
- Supervise and monitor students during classroom, outdoor, and community activities
- Foster an environment where all students can thrive and connect with their peers
