Educational Sign Language Interpreter - Manchester Center, Vermont

The workday runs from 8:30am to 3:00pm, allowing for a consistent full-time schedule within a single school location for each assignment.
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Proficient in American Sign Language (ASL) and capable of clear, accurate interpretation between spoken English and sign
- Experience working as an interpreter in educational or school settings is highly valued
- Open to candidates without formal certification—real-world skills and a commitment to student success are what matter most
- Comfortable working closely with young children and collaborating with teachers, support staff, and administrators
- Ability to adapt in dynamic educational environments and respond to the unique needs of each student
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide real-time interpretation for classroom instruction, activities, and peer interactions
- Maintain confidentiality and respect for student privacy
- Support the learning needs and goals of assigned student(s)
- Partner with educators and staff to ensure a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Participate in occasional training and onboarding, with ongoing support available
