What we’re seeking:
- Strong proficiency in American Sign Language
- Minimum score of 4.0 on the EIPA (Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment)
- Valid certification/licensure as a Sign Language Interpreter
- Prior experience working with children or in an educational setting preferred
- Professionalism, flexibility, and commitment to supporting students’ needs
- Ability to work the scheduled hours: 8:45 AM–3:00 PM (with a 30-minute lunch break), totaling 33.75 hours per week
Your role will include:
- Providing direct, 1:1 sign language interpretation for a third-grade student throughout the school day
- Supporting classroom instruction, activities, and social interactions
- Collaborating with educators and school staff to ensure student access and engagement
- Maintaining confidentiality and adhering to school policies and ethical standards
- Promoting an inclusive and understanding learning environment
