Sign Language Interpreter in Stamford, CT

Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) required
- Experience working in educational settings strongly preferred
- RID certification and/or EIPA score highly desirable but not mandatory
- Passion for supporting Deaf and Hard of Hearing students
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to adapt to individual student needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Support students individually throughout the school day
- Facilitate comprehension of classroom material and lessons via ASL
- Build students’ vocabulary and language fluency
- Adapt communication styles for both preschool and elementary age groups
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff, the Director, and Teacher of the Deaf
- Participate in ongoing communication and progress monitoring
