Qualifications:
- Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience in school settings highly preferred
- RID and/or EIPA certification preferred, but not required
- Willingness to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
Responsibilities:
- 1:1 support for either a preschool or 5th grade student (two openings)
- Facilitate communication, comprehension, and engagement in classroom material
- Tutor and reinforce ASL vocabulary and concepts
- Attend virtual interview with Director and Teacher of the Deaf to determine best student fit
- Encourage student growth in a nurturing, inclusive setting
