Desired Qualifications:

  • Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL)
  • Prior school-based experience highly preferred
  • RID Certification and/or EIPA score preferred but not required
  • Experience supporting students 1:1 or tutoring is a plus
  • Adaptable, collaborative, and committed to student success

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a communication bridge for one assigned student (preschool or 5th grade)
  • Support learning comprehension, tutor, and build ASL vocabulary
  • Collaborate with teachers, Director of Special Education, and other support staff
  • Participate in a virtual interview to determine the best student match
