Key responsibilities include:
- Facilitating communication between deaf/hard-of-hearing students and educators or peers during classroom instruction and school activities
- Supporting teachers by interpreting lessons, instructions, and discussions in real time
- Adjusting interpreting techniques to suit various educational contexts and individual student needs
- Participating in meetings with parents, teachers, and student support teams as required
- Maintaining accurate records of interpreting assignments and student interactions
- Assisting in fostering inclusive, supportive environments for all students
