ProCare Therapy is seeking a Sign Language Interpreter (SLI) for a school-based contract position with a local school district in Oroville, CA.
Sign Language Interpreter (SLI) Position – 2026/2027 School Year
Details:
• Start: ASAP
• End: 2026/2027 School Year
• Onsite Only
• Full Time (Approximately 30 Hours Per Week; 6 Hours Per Day)
• Elementary and Intermediate School Caseloads Available
Responsibilities:
• Facilitate communication and education among deaf and hard of hearing students, their hearing peers, teachers, and school personnel
• Provide sign-to-voice and voice-to-sign interpreting services
• Assist students with academic subjects including reading, writing, and math
• Support students in vocational and daily living skill development
• Monitor and assist students during classroom, outdoor, and community-based activities
Education and Certification:
• Certification by the National Registry of Interpreters of the Deaf (RID), OR
• EIPA score of 4.0 or higher, ESSE-I/R, or NAD/ACCI assessment certification
• Candidates with an EIPA score below 4.0 are encouraged to apply and will be considered for an ASL Para position
