Sign Language Interpreter in Paradise, CA

Key Qualifications:
- Valid SLI Certification required
- EIPA Score in compliance with state/district standards
- Previous experience in an educational setting preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively with elementary and intermediate age groups
Role Responsibilities:
- Facilitate seamless communication and understanding among students who are deaf or hard of hearing, their hearing peers, classroom teachers, and school staff
- Provide both sign-to-voice and voice-to-sign interpreting throughout the instructional day
- Support students academically in subjects such as reading, writing, and mathematics
- Collaborate in the development of vocational and daily living skills
- Supervise and monitor students during classroom activities, as well as during outdoor or community outings
- Contribute to a positive, inclusive learning environment that supports every student’s success
This position offers consistent hours—30 per week, Monday through Friday—making it an excellent fit for professionals seeking contractual stability and impactful work. Your pay rate will be determined by your EIPA score, starting at $40 per hour or more.
