What we’re looking for:
- Active Sign Language Interpreter certification/license valid in California
- EIPA Score of 4.0 or higher
- Experience working with children in educational settings is a plus
- Commitment to providing high-quality, student-centered interpreting services
- Comfortable working one-on-one and adapting to a variety of classroom situations
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Providing one-on-one American Sign Language (ASL) interpreting for a student in a K–12 setting
- Facilitating access to classroom learning, activities, and social interactions
- Collaborating with teachers, staff, and families to support student success
- Ensuring confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions
