Qualifications:
- Valid Sign Language Interpreter Certification for the State of California
- Prior experience working as a Sign Language Interpreter in schools (preferred)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility to work full-time, in-person hours
Responsibilities:
- Interpret spoken language into American Sign Language (ASL) and vice versa for students and staff
- Foster clear communication between students, teachers, and other school personnel
- Support inclusive educational environments
- Ensure confidentiality and impartiality in all interactions
- Collaborate with educators and other specialists as needed
