This position requires an educational sign language interpreter with a strong foundation in supporting K-12 learners. You’ll work on-site at least four days a week (in-person or hybrid), ensuring direct engagement and collaboration with staff and students. This is a special chance to be at the heart of a growing district initiative—your contribution will help us broaden and improve services for students in the SAILS and STEPs programs.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
- Certification as a Sign Language Interpreter (SLI level or higher)
- 0-3 years, 4-6 years, or 7+ years experience working with children or youth in educational settings
- Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and knowledge of interpreting in multi-modal communication environments
- Experience supporting evaluations and adapting communication for students with differing needs
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, other interpreters, and support staff
- Commitment to fostering an accessible, inclusive classroom environment
