Qualifications:
- Active certification as an Educational Interpreter
- Strong proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
- Prior experience in an academic setting, especially providing 1:1 interpretation, preferred
- Excellent interpersonal communication and collaboration abilities
- Commitment to supporting student growth and access to education
Responsibilities:
- Provide clear and accurate 1:1 sign language interpretation between assigned student and staff throughout the school day
- Foster positive, supportive relationships with students, teachers, and the educational team
- Assist in adapting instructional materials and activities to promote student engagement
- Maintain strict confidentiality and uphold all school and district policies
- Participate in student-focused meetings and collaborate with other specialists as needed
You can expect to work a consistent Monday through Friday schedule, totaling 32.5 hours weekly.
