Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality sign language interpreting services remotely for K–12 students.
- Facilitate effective communication between students, educators, and support staff via telehealth technology.
- Maintain professionalism and confidentiality while adhering to school policies and procedures.
- Adapt interpreting techniques to meet the diverse needs of students in a virtual classroom setting.
Required Qualifications:
- Illinois Sign Language Interpreter (SLI) Professional Educator License (PEL).
- Minimum score of 3.5 on the EIPA (Education Interpreter Performance Assessment) or RID certification.
- At least 5 years of experience providing sign language interpreting services remotely within a school setting.
- Proficiency in telehealth platforms and remote communication practices.
