Per Diem Remote Educational Sign Language Interpreter - Illinois
A Sign Language Interpreter with expertise in telehealth services is needed to provide remote interpreting for K–12 school-aged students. This per diem role offers flexible scheduling aligned with the school calendar, allowing selection of shifts that best fit individual availability.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering clear and accurate sign language interpretation through telehealth platforms for educational settings.

Qualifications and experience:
- Possession of a valid Illinois Sign Language Interpreter (PEL) License.
- Minimum score of 3.5 on the Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA) or certification from the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID).
- At least five years of experience providing sign language interpreting services remotely within a school environment.
