Your role will start August 3rd, 2026, and continue through May 27th, 2027. As a valued interpreter, your fluency and professionalism will ensure clear, effective communication between students, staff, and faculty, fostering an environment where every student can thrive.
Qualifications:
- Valid Georgia Department of Education (GA DOE) SLI License required (note: HR waiver will not be accepted)
- Demonstrated proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
- Previous experience in an educational setting strongly preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to remain flexible and responsive to student needs
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct, one-on-one sign language interpreting for a student during school hours
- Facilitate communication between the student, peers, and staff in classroom and school environments
- Support access to the curriculum and extracurricular activities as needed
- Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and accurate records
- Collaborate with educators and specialists to ensure comprehensive student support
