Sign Language Interpreter in Bolingbrook, IL

Qualifications:
- Active Illinois Sign Language Interpreter License issued through ISBE required
- Previous experience working as a Sign Language Interpreter in an educational or school-based setting preferred
- Exceptional receptive and expressive sign language skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, administration, and other staff
- Strong sense of professionalism and confidentiality
Role Details:
- Begins July 29th, 2026 and continues through May 25th, 2027
- 5 hours per week, Monday through Friday (flexible daytime hours)
- Contracted role
- Two interpreter positions available to support the school’s caseload
- Provide in-class, small group, or one-on-one interpretation according to student needs
- Facilitate communication between students, teachers, parents, and staff
- Ensure that all interpreted content is conveyed accurately and impartially
- Participate in IEP meetings or staff discussions as requested
