Desired Qualifications:
- Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL), with prior experience as a sign language interpreter in educational settings
- Comfort and skill interpreting for students who utilize hearing technology but rely heavily on sign language
- Certification or licensure as required for school-based interpreting (state and/or national credentials)
- Collaborative mindset for working alongside teachers, paraprofessionals, and other school staff
- Adaptability to move comfortably between a self-contained classroom for three hours daily and inclusion environments for the remainder of the day
- Professionalism, reliability, and a student-centered approach to interpretation
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver daily in-person interpreting services per the student’s academic schedule
