Qualifications & Required Skills:
- Valid GA Department of Education Sign Language Interpreter (SLI) License (strictly required; no HR waiver available)
- Demonstrated proficiency in American Sign Language and interpreting within school environments
- Previous experience in an educational setting strongly preferred
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Responsibilities:
- Provide accurate and impartial sign language interpretation for a student in all classroom settings and school activities
- Facilitate seamless communication between the student, educators, and classmates
- Support student engagement and participation during instruction and extracurricular events
- Abide by ethical standards governing educational interpreting
- Collaborate with educational teams and related service providers to ensure comprehensive student support
Position Details:
- Onsite only, full-time contract for the entire school year (August 3rd, 2026 – May 27th, 2027)
- Consistent daytime hours following the school schedule
