Key Qualifications:
- Active GaPSC Sign Language Interpreter Educator Certification
- Completion of district fingerprinting requirements
- Previous experience as a Sign Language Interpreter in a school setting is preferred
- Proficiency in American Sign Language and skilled at fostering clear, supportive communication
- Collaborative mindset and dedication to promoting student success
Responsibilities:
- Deliver 1:1 interpretation services for a 5th grade male student throughout the school day
- Facilitate effective communication between the student, peers, and staff within the classroom
- Support the student during all academic activities, ensuring engagement in both instruction and classroom discussion
- Work collaboratively with educators and specialists to meet the student’s educational goals
- Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and adaptability in a dynamic school environment
Role Details:
- Contract dates: September 10th, 2026 – May 26th, 2027
- Full-time schedule: 7:30am – 2:30pm, Monday through Friday (35 hours per week)
