Key Qualifications:
- Hold an active GaPSC SLI Educator Certification
- District fingerprint clearance required prior to start
- Previous experience as a Sign Language Interpreter in a school environment preferred

Position Details:
- Full-time schedule: 7:30am to 2:30pm, Monday through Friday (35 hours per week)
- Contract dates: September 10, 2026, through May 26, 2027
- 1:1 assignment: Partner with a 5th grade male student in a general education classroom, facilitating seamless communication and classroom participation
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to ensure a supportive educational experience
Responsibilities:
- Accurately interpret spoken communication in classroom, small group, and individual settings
- Support the student’s understanding of class materials, discussions, and instructions
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
- Adapt interpreting approach as needed to ensure clarity and engagement
- Participate in student support meetings and contribute to ongoing educational planning
