Key Qualifications:
- Current EIPA rating of 3.5 or higher, valid in Georgia
- Active GAPSC certification
- Experience providing sign language interpretation in educational settings
- Familiarity with K-12 curriculum and classroom dynamics
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Adaptable, organized, and proactive approach
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver real-time sign language interpretation for students, staff, and parents across a variety of classroom and school settings
- Support individualized education plans (IEPs) through accurate and confidential interpretation
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to ensure seamless communication access for students at all grade levels
- Prepare for classroom content in advance to ensure effective interpretation
- Serve as a source of support and encouragement for students utilizing sign language
