Educational Sign Language Interpreter - Rockmart, GA

As a Sign Language Interpreter, you’ll facilitate learning and engagement for students who are deaf or hard of hearing, collaborating with teachers and staff to create an inclusive school environment.
Key Qualifications:
- Hold a valid EIPA 3.5 or higher credential in Georgia
- Meet GAPSC certification requirements
- Proficient in American Sign Language and interpreting within educational settings
- Experience working in schools with a variety of age groups, especially K-12
- Excellent interpersonal skills, flexibility, and a commitment to supporting student success
Primary Responsibilities:
- Interpret classroom instruction, discussions, meetings, and school activities for K-12 students
- Work closely with educators and support staff to ensure accurate and effective communication
- Adapt interpreting techniques to accommodate various student needs and educational levels
- Support students both academically and socially within the classroom setting
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with all ethical and professional standards
Role Details:
- Full-time contract opportunity
- 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday
