- Ability to adapt interpretation techniques to different classroom environments and individual student needs
- Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills with educators, students, and staff
- Commitment to maintaining professional confidentiality and adhering to ethical guidelines
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide real-time sign language interpretation for students during classroom instruction, assemblies, and school-related activities
- Facilitate communication between students who are deaf or hard of hearing and their peers, teachers, and other school personnel
- Collaborate with teachers and support staff to adapt instructional materials and curriculum as needed
- Support students in accessing all aspects of their educational experience, both academic and extracurricular
- Maintain accurate documentation of services provided and comply with school policies and procedures
- Participate in meetings, trainings, and workshops as required by the district
