Qualifications:
- 3.5 or higher EIPA (Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment) score
- Eligibility for the GaPSC Educational Interpreter Certificate
- Proficiency in American Sign Language and voice interpretation
- Prior experience working in K-12 educational settings preferred
- Professionalism, adaptability, and an enthusiastic approach to supporting students with diverse needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver accurate, unbiased sign-to-voice and voice-to-sign interpreting services for students, teachers, and staff
- Support students’ participation in classroom activities, school events, and one-on-one instruction
- Collaborate with special education staff, teachers, and administrators to meet individual education plan (IEP) goals
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards for educational interpreters
- Assist with preparation and adaptation of instructional materials as needed
