Key Qualifications:
- Current, valid 3.0 EIPA score or higher, or possession of NAD/RID national certifications (highly preferred)
- Successful demonstration of sign language proficiency during a panel interview
- Up-to-date fingerprint clearance, ideally transferable via AHCA Clearinghouse—new prints arranged as needed
- Commitment to onsite presence, as virtual interpreting is not available for this role
Role Responsibilities:
- Facilitate effective communication for DHH students within educational environments, both in 1:1 and group contexts
- Interpret classroom instruction, discussions, assemblies, extracurricular activities, and other school functions
- Collaborate closely with teachers, support staff, and families to foster inclusive learning experiences
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with all applicable ethical standards and district policies
