1:1 Pediatric 1:1 Sign Language Interpreter in Ewa Beach, HI

This full-time, on-site contract role focuses on one-on-one interactions with pediatric students, allowing you to directly support their academic and social development. Qualifications:

• Current licensure as a Sign Language Interpreter
• Minimum ASLPI score of 4.1 or higher
• Experience working 1:1 with pediatric clients, preferably in an educational environment
• Strong proficiency in American Sign Language and thorough understanding of deaf culture
• Ability to adapt to diverse learning environments and collaborate effectively with staff, students, and families
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide accurate and clear ASL interpretation for a designated student throughout the school day, supporting access to curriculum and school activities
• Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and administration to facilitate inclusion and ensure language needs are met
• Foster a positive, supportive environment for the student, adapting interpreting strategies as needed
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional ethics in all interactions
• Participate in team meetings and IEP discussions as required
