Desired Qualifications:
• Current licensure as a Sign Language Interpreter
• American Sign Language Proficiency Interview (ASLPI) score of 4.1 or higher
• Experience working with children in educational or pediatric settings
• Proven success in 1:1 interpreting roles
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide 1:1 sign language interpreting services for a student, ensuring clear communication between the student and educators
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to facilitate meaningful inclusion in the classroom
• Foster a supportive, accessible environment to help the student thrive academically and socially
• Prepare for classroom activities and adapt interpreting strategies as needed
• Maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times
