Qualifications & Certifications:
- 4.0 EIPA Score or RID Certification is required
- Demonstrated experience as a Sign Language Interpreter in educational settings desirable
- Current credentials and certifications relevant to interpreting for K-12 populations
- Solid grasp of ASL and educational terminology
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide real-time interpretation for students, staff, and families during classroom activities and school events
- Support students’ access to curriculum by facilitating communication between teachers and deaf or hard-of-hearing students
- Accurately convey spoken and signed information using appropriate register and vocabulary
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary school teams to promote student success
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with district protocols
