Qualifications:
- Valid EIPA score of 4.0 or higher (required)
- Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and familiarity with interpreting in school environments
- Experience supporting students with various communication needs
- Ability to work in person and adapt to different age groups and classroom settings
- Demonstrated professionalism, reliability, and excellent interpersonal skills
What Your Day Looks Like:
- Interpret classroom instruction, discussions, and school activities between students, staff, and teachers
- Provide clear, accurate, and impartial communication support for deaf and hard of hearing students
- Foster an inclusive learning environment by facilitating access to academic and social information
- Collaborate with teachers and support staff to adapt interpreting approaches as needed
- Maintain confidentiality and follow professional standards at all times
- Support students in both academic and extracurricular contexts
