Qualifications:
- Completion of an Interpreter Training Program (verifiable)
- RID and/or EIPA assessment score of 4.0 or above (required, per state law)
- Valid Washington State Driver’s License or proof of mobility
- Previous school-based experience strongly preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide sign-to-voice and voice-to-sign interpretation in classroom and school environments
- Support IDEA, ADA, and other legal compliance to facilitate communication between D/HH students, staff, and community members
- Potential to lead instructional activities under teacher supervision
- Contribute to accessible, inclusive education for all students
