Qualifications:
- High school diploma required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree strongly preferred
- Fluent communication skills in both American Sign Language (ASL) and English
- EIPA score meeting New Jersey state requirements or national interpreter certification preferred
- Previous experience in a school-based setting is a plus
- Understanding of Deaf culture and the needs of students who are deaf or hard of hearing
- Ability to pass all required New Jersey background checks
