Two full-time, onsite positions are available for Sign Language Interpreters during the 2026–2027 academic year. As a dedicated professional, you’ll play a vital role in facilitating communication, enhancing student participation in instruction, and ensuring access to all educational activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation for students throughout the instructional day.
- Interpret for classroom instruction, school assemblies, meetings, and extracurricular events.
- Promote smooth communication among students, teachers, staff, and peers.
- Uphold confidentiality standards as required by FERPA and district guidelines.
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and service providers to foster student success.
- Prepare for daily interpreting assignments by reviewing instructional materials as needed.
- Maintain professional conduct and adhere to ethical guidelines for educational interpreters.
Desired Qualifications:
- Colorado Educational Interpreter Authorization (or eligible to obtain).
- Associate's degree or higher in Educational Interpreting, ASL, or a related field.
- Successful completion of the EIPA Written Exam.
- EIPA Performance Score of 3.5+ or current RID Certification.
- Ability to meet all Colorado Department of Education and district employment requirements, including background check.
- Strong interpersonal and collaborative abilities.
Schedule:
- Full-time, onsite position
- Monday through Friday following the district academic calendar
