Educational Sign Language Interpreter - Olathe, Colorado

Two full-time, onsite American Sign Language interpreters are needed to provide essential communication access during the entire 2026–2027 academic year. You’ll play a crucial role in fostering inclusive learning by ensuring every student is actively involved in school activities and classroom instruction.
What you’ll bring:
- Colorado Educational Interpreter Authorization (or eligibility to obtain)
- Associate’s degree or higher in Educational Interpreting, ASL, or a closely related field
- Successful completion of the EIPA Written Examination
- EIPA Performance Score of 3.5+ or current RID Certification
- Ability to satisfy all state and district employment requirements, including background screening
- Outstanding interpersonal, communication, and collaboration abilities
- Experience as an educational interpreter and advanced ASL skills are highly valued
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver ASL interpretation throughout instructional hours and at school events
- Bridge communication between students, staff, and peers for academic and extracurricular inclusion
- Prepare in advance by reviewing instructional materials for upcoming assignments
- Respect FERPA and district guidelines to maintain student confidentiality
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and related service providers to enhance each student’s educational experience
- Adhere to professional and ethical standards specific to educational interpreting
