Qualifications/Desired Experience:

  • Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
  • Prior experience interpreting in an educational or school setting preferred
  • National Interpreter Certification (NIC, RID, or equivalent) strongly desired
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new environments and student needs

Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Facilitate clear, effective communication between students, educators, and staff using ASL
  • Interpret classroom instruction, lectures, meetings, and extracurricular activities
