Beginning August 12, 2026 through June 4, 2027, this onsite, contract position places you in a welcoming school environment near Rio Linda, CA. You'll work 35 hours per week, providing essential one-on-one sign language interpretation, tailored to both your strengths and professional preferences.
This is an exciting opportunity to support young learners directly at a single school site, collaborating closely with staff and families for the duration of the school year.
Qualifications:
- Current Sign Language Interpreter (SLI) certification or licensure in California
- EIPA score of 4.0 or higher
- Availability for full-time, onsite hours throughout the contract period
- Experience with K-12 students (settings and age groups tailored to your preferences and background)
- Clear communication, collaborative approach, and commitment to student growth
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct sign language interpretation for a K-12 student in classroom and school activities
- Foster communication access between students, staff, and peers
- Adjust interpretation style to meet individual student needs and grade level
- Maintain professionalism, flexibility, and confidentiality at all times
- Participate as an active member of the educational team to ensure student success
