Two positions are available: a full-time assignment in a junior high setting with student involvement in choir, dance, and cheer, and a short-term role at a high school supporting two students for the first term. Key Qualifications:
- Experience working with children, especially in school or youth settings
- Current Interpreter certification from either the Registry for the Deaf or TX Commission for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing
- Valid TX Driver's License
- Ability to complete fingerprinting and credentialing as required by the district
- Strong interpersonal skills with the flexibility to adapt to student needs and school activities
Responsibilities:
- Interpret in classrooms, co-curricular events, staff meetings, ARD meetings, and special programs
- Provide one-on-one support for extracurricular activities such as choir, dance, and cheerleading
- Assist with tutoring hearing-impaired students under teacher direction
- Support student management and behavioral interventions as needed
- Maintain confidentiality and administrative documentation
- Participate in professional development, faculty meetings, and school events
- Consistent attendance is expected to ensure continuity of support for students
