Qualifications & Credentials:
- Current 4.0 EIPA Score or Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) Certification required
- Demonstrated proficiency in sign language interpretation within an educational setting
- Valid credentials and current certifications consistent with school requirements
- Experience working with K-12 students preferred
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Facilitate clear and accurate interpretation between students, staff, and peers in a variety of classroom and school-wide situations
- Adapt interpreting styles to meet the unique language needs of individual students
- Collaborate with the education team to support student learning and participation
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all school-related activities
- Document services as required by the school or district
