There are four immediate openings for passionate interpreters ready to contribute their expertise.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid EIPA score of at least 4.0 is required
- Demonstrated proficiency in American Sign Language
- Previous experience working as a Sign Language Interpreter in a school environment preferred
- Ability to facilitate clear, accurate interpretation between deaf/hard-of-hearing students and staff
- Strong sense of professionalism, confidentiality, and reliability
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide in-person sign language interpretation for students in academic, extracurricular, and social settings
- Adapt signing styles to meet students’ individual needs and educational goals
- Collaborate with teachers and support staff to ensure equitable access to curriculum and school activities
- Maintain compliance with educational guidelines and confidentiality standards
- Participate in meetings and contribute to planning for effective communication strategies
- Support a positive, inclusive school environment
