Educational Sign Language Interpreter - Adams, Massachusetts

Key Qualifications:
- Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
- Previous experience interpreting in school or early childhood settings preferred
- Certification or credentialing as a Sign Language Interpreter is highly desirable
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Strong communication skills and adaptability
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver in-person sign language interpreting services for a preschool-aged student, fostering an accessible and inclusive classroom experience
- Work hand-in-hand with a remote DHH teacher, sharing insights and strategies to meet the student's unique communication needs
- Support the student’s engagement in lessons, activities, and interactions with peers and staff
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold professional standards in all situations
- Provide feedback and observations to educators and support staff as needed
