Step into a dynamic school environment supporting students who benefit from sign language interpretation services. Two contract opportunities are available for skilled Sign Language Interpreters eager to build positive relationships and contribute to accessible learning in an onsite setting near Arlington Heights, IL.

First Position
Engage with students at John Powers Center, Vernon Hills. This role runs Monday through Friday, 9am-3pm, with a projected end date of May 28, 2027. You'll play a valuable part in classroom communication, ensuring each student receives the support they need throughout the school day.

Second Position
Provide meaningful interpretation services at Grayslake North High School, with a schedule of Monday through Friday, 8am-12pm, and an end date of May 20, 2027. Your expertise will make daily educational experiences more inclusive and effective for all students.

Desired Qualifications

  • Valid EIPA score of 3.5+ with Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) approval
  • EIPA 3.0–3.4 with interim ISBE approval accepted
  • BEI, ISAS, CI/CT, or NIC credentials with ISBE approval
  • Experience as a school-based or educational sign language interpreter highly preferred
  • Proficiency in American Sign Language and strong collaborative skills
  • Must be available for onsite assignments only
