Sign Language Interpreter (ASL) | Round Lake, Illinois

Key Qualifications:
- EIPA score of 3.5 or higher with Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) Approval, or 3.0–3.4 with ISBE Interim Approval
- Alternatively, BEI, ISAS, CI/CT, or NIC credentials accepted with ISBE Approval
- Strong fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) and familiarity with educational settings
- Professionalism, collaboration, and adaptability in school environments
Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality sign language interpretation between students, staff, and other stakeholders as needed
- Support communication in classrooms, meetings, and school activities
- Collaborate closely with teachers and special education teams to ensure accessibility for students who are D/deaf or hard of hearing
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines and school policies
Position Details:
1st Position:
- Location: John Powers Center, Vernon Hills, IL
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9am–3pm
- Contract through May 28, 2027
2nd Position:
- Location: Grayslake North High School, Grayslake, IL
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8am–12pm
- Contract through May 20, 2027
