Opportunities Available:

High School Assignment:
- Full-time, 35 hours per week
- Schedule: 8:00 AM – 3:45 PM
- Work closely with high school students, facilitating communication in both classroom and school activities

Elementary Assignment:
- Part-time, 30 hours per week
- Schedule: 8:00 AM – 2:30 PM
- Support a vibrant elementary environment. This position is currently in Oroville, with a planned transition to Roseville for the next school year
Desired Qualifications:
- Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) with demonstrated interpreter experience in educational settings
- Knowledge of deaf culture and best practices for supporting students with hearing differences
- Comfortable collaborating with teachers, families, and support staff
- National or state-level interpreter certification highly valued
- Ability to adapt interpreting style to a variety of learning situations and student needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide in-person interpreting services for meetings, lessons, and school communications
- Foster an inclusive atmosphere by bridging communication between students, educators, and peers
- Maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and cultural sensitivity at all times
- Assist in classroom management as needed, ensuring equitable access to curricular content
- Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance interpreting skills
