Qualifications/Experience:
- Certification as a Sign Language Interpreter (RID, EIPA or equivalent)
- Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) and English
- Experience working with school-aged children strongly preferred
- Understanding of educational settings and IEP processes is a plus
- Ability to collaborate with classroom teachers, students, and support teams
Position Details:

High School (Loomis, CA)
- Full-time: 35 hours per week
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 3:45 p.m.

Elementary (Oroville, CA, moving to Roseville, CA next school year)
- Part-time: 30 hours per week
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
Role Responsibilities:
- Interpret classroom instruction and activities using ASL
- Facilitate communication between students, peers, and staff
- Foster an atmosphere of inclusion and trust
- Maintain confidentiality and support student independence
- Adapt interpretation styles to meet varying needs of students and teachers
