Educational Sign Language Interpreter - Citrus Heights, California

Opportunities Available:
Position 1
- High School environment
- Full-time, 35 hours per week
- Monday through Friday, 8:00 am – 3:45 pm
Position 2
- Elementary school setting
- 30 hours per week
- Monday through Friday, 8:00 am – 2:30 pm
- Initial location in Oroville, transitioning to Roseville for the next school year
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
- Prior experience within educational settings highly desirable
- National certification or state credentials in sign language interpretation preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Adaptability and commitment to fostering inclusive environments
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct interpretation services for students during instructional periods, assemblies, and school events
- Facilitate clear communication between students, teachers, and peers
- Support both academic and social interactions to promote student growth
- Collaborate with educational staff to address student needs
- Maintain confidentiality and follow ethical standards of practice
