Educational Sign Language Interpreter - Folsom, California

Position 1
- Support a high school student population
- Enjoy a steady 35 hours per week
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 am – 3:45 pm
- Located in a welcoming high school community
Position 2
- Serve elementary-aged students
- Balanced hours at 30 per week
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 am – 2:30 pm
- Start in Oroville and move to Roseville for the next school year, offering variety and new experiences
What we’re looking for:
- Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and ability to adapt to the communication needs of students and staff
- Previous experience in an educational or school-based setting preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills to foster collaborative relationships with teachers, families, and students
- Flexibility to work in different school sites and adapt to school schedules
- Credentialed or certified as a Sign Language Interpreter (as required by the state or district)
Responsibilities include:
- Providing interpretation services during classroom instruction, activities, and school events
- Facilitating communication between Deaf/Hard of Hearing students and teachers, peers, and staff
- Collaborating with educational teams to support student learning
- Advocating for communication access and educational equity within the school setting
- Maintaining confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions
